Biggest Colorbond we stock. 30,000 litres, 3400mm across, 3400mm tall. A near-cube at full scale. Built for farms, commercial operations, and rural properties running irrigation, stock watering, and domestic supply off a single catchment. Food-grade Aquaplate lining, AS/NZS 4020 compliant. Baked Colorbond outer in 22+ colours. At full farm scale a matching colour takes the tank out of the tank category and puts it in the same visual bracket as the shed it serves.
The Orion 30,000 Litres Colorbond Water Tank combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of Colorbond colour. Constructed from genuine AQUAPLATE steel with a baked enamel interior for safe rainwater storage. Dimensions: 3400mm diameter x 3400mm height. Available in 9 Colorbond colours.
At 30,000L this is the biggest Colorbond tank in the range. It’s also the biggest argument for choosing Colorbond over plain Aquaplate. A raw steel tank at this scale is agricultural infrastructure and reads that way. In a colour picked from the property’s existing palette, the same mass settles in as part of the rural building line.
Potable polymer lining inside, AS/NZS 4020 certified. Same internal specification as the 930L, just scaled up. Water quality does not change with capacity or with the Colorbond finish.
3400mm across, 3400mm tall. Suits commercial and near-commercial properties, large farms, market gardens, and any site running multiple high-volume demands off one roof catchment. If 30,000L is more than the site needs, the 27,500L drops to 3080mm tall on the same pad.
Strainer basket, overflow, and brass bibcock fitted. Additional outlet configurations are available on request, specified at order to suit the plumbing plan.

Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
