The 500L Round Poly Tank is the smallest in our range. A compact footprint at 820mm wide and 1,320mm tall, built for small yards, side passages, shed overflow, or off-grid top-ups where a bigger tank won’t fit. The 500L solves the “no room for a big tank” problem. Fit it down a side passage, under a rainhead, behind a shed, or beside an off-grid cabin. At 820mm wide it slots in where a 2,000L or larger unit won’t go.
Clean water from day one
Moulded in one piece from food-grade LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene), UV-stabilised, and AS/NZS 4766 compliant. No welds, no seams, no internal lining to fail. Safe for drinking, cooking, and the kids’ paddling pool.
Fittings sorted out of the box
Every 500L ships with a brass ball valve, a 200mm strainer basket with stainless steel insect mesh at the inlet, a 90mm overflow with Rapid Seal grommet and removable insect screen, and two 25mm BSP female outlets. No trips to the plumbing shop for parts.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
