The 930L Aquaplate Water Tank is the smallest steel tank we stock. A low-slung 1,240mm diameter, just 770mm high, it fits under a carport, beside a verandah, or tucked behind a deck skirt. Aquaplate is Zincalume steel with a food-grade lining bonded to the inside, so you get the look and strength of a proper steel tank with drinking-water safety that plain galvanised can’t match. Tasmanian-made with a 15-year prorated warranty.

Steel outside, food-grade inside
That’s the whole Aquaplate argument. The shell is Zincalume-coated steel (the same stuff Tasmanian roofs are made of), so the tank has the structural strength, long UV life, and classic corrugated look of a proper steel tank. The inside is bonded with a food-grade polymer film, so your water never touches the metal. AS/NZS 4020 compliant for drinking water. No metallic taste, no rust pitting, no liner that peels after 10 years.
A low-slung shape
At 770mm tall on a 1,240mm diameter, the 930L sits like a short cylinder. It fits where nothing else does. Under a fixed carport, below a deck’s horizontal skirt, beside a verandah where the eave is too low for a tall tank. If you’ve been told your clearance won’t take a tank, measure again with this one.
Where it earns its spot
Garden and toilet supplementary supply on suburban blocks. Top-up tank on a rural property where the main supply is a bigger tank elsewhere. Heritage homes where the front elevation can’t change but a low-profile tank can tuck into a side yard.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
