The smallest Colorbond water tank we stock. At 1240mm across and only 770mm tall, it tucks under a carport, beside a shed, or against a fence line where a full-height tank won’t go. Same food-grade Aquaplate lining as the potable range, AS/NZS 4020 compliant for drinking water. Outside, a baked Colorbond topcoat in 22+ colours. Match it to the roof, the fascia, or the wall behind it. It reads as part of the property, not a tank bolted to the side of it.
The Orion 930 Litres Colorbond Water Tank combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of Colorbond colour. Constructed from genuine AQUAPLATE steel with a baked enamel interior for safe rainwater storage. Dimensions: 1240mm diameter x 770mm height. Available in 9 Colorbond colours.
A raw Zincalume tank is a feature. A Colorbond tank is the opposite. The 930L wears a baked colour finish from the same palette used on Tasmanian roofs, fences, and fascias. Pick a colour already in the building, or match a paving run, and the tank effectively disappears. It stops drawing the eye.
The interior is the same Aquaplate polymer lining used across the potable range. Water never touches metal. AS/NZS 4020 certified for drinking water, so a painted Colorbond finish doesn’t cost you food-grade compliance. No metallic taste, no rust pitting.
1240mm diameter, 770mm high. The smallest Colorbond footprint in the range, and the lowest profile. It parks under a carport, slides beside a shed, or sits against a fence without breaking a sight line. For the same diameter with twice the capacity, the 1,850L shares this footprint but runs to 1550mm tall.
Every tank ships with strainer basket, overflow, and brass bibcock. Non-standard outlets and additional fittings are available on request at order, so the tank arrives set up for your plumber’s run.

Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
