The 2,000L Slimline Poly Tank (smooth wall) is the shorter, cleaner-looking 2,000L option. 2,100mm long, 600mm wide, 2,130mm tall, with a modern smooth-wall finish instead of corrugated ribs. Smooth wall, modern look
The smooth-wall finish gives this tank a cleaner, more contemporary profile than the corrugated version. Reads as architectural rather than agricultural. Picks up paint-match colours with a flatter, more consistent surface. If the tank sits where it’ll be seen (courtyard, front setback, side of a modern house), this is the one to pick.
Shorter footprint, taller stance
At 2,100mm long and 2,130mm tall, this 2,000L is 300mm shorter end-to-end than the corrugated PJT2000 but 110mm taller. Which means if you’ve got vertical clearance but limited length (a narrow courtyard, a short side-of-house run), the smooth-wall version fits where the corrugated won’t.
Bigger outlet, gate valve
Four 25mm BSP outlets plus one 40mm BSP outlet for higher-flow connections (pump feeds, garden irrigation manifolds). Comes with a brass gate valve instead of the standard bibcock, for cleaner full-bore shut-off on the main draw.
Clean water, potable compliant
One-piece UV-stabilised LLDPE polyethylene, AS/NZS 4766 compliant for drinking water. Safe for the kitchen, the garden, the toilet circuit.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
