Galvanised Water Tanks

About

Galvanised tanks are the original rural water tank. Bare hot-dip galvanised steel, corrugated for strength, no paint, no fuss. The traditional Tasmanian farm tank. If you’ve grown up on a rural block, you’ve seen one.

Why people still buy them: galvanising forms a zinc layer that bonds to the steel and resists corrosion through reaction, not just barrier. Scratches and impacts heal over rather than starting rust. The unpainted finish weathers to a soft grey patina that suits sheds, paddocks, and working buildings far better than glossy colour.

Inside, an Aquaplate-style food-grade liner means these tanks are still safe for drinking water under AS/NZS 4020. You get the rugged exterior of a traditional galv tank with modern potable-water compliance. No metallic taste, no internal rust.

Sizes from 1,700 L for tight spots and outbuildings, up to 14,000 L for primary household catchment or stock supply. Common picks: working farms, sheds and barns, fire fighting setups (galvanised meets the TFS metal-construction requirement), and anywhere a Colorbond colour would look out of place.

Tasmanian-made, free delivery to 90% of Tasmania, 15-year prorated warranty. The tank that asks for nothing. Sit it on a prepared base, plumb it in, and it’ll be there long after you’ve stopped thinking about it.
