Width over height, at scale

14,000 litres is real capacity. On the standard 2,600mm-footprint, you’d need to go taller than the 12,500L to get it, which puts the tank up around 2,500mm+ tall. The 14,000L takes a different route: wider base (3,400mm), keeps height at a moderate 1,550mm, same total volume. Pick this one when the block has width to spare and you don’t want another tall silhouette.

Aquaplate at 14,000 litres

Large tanks exaggerate the differences between construction types. Plain galvanised at this size, over a decade or two, develops visible rust at the water-contact line, picks up metallic taste, and eventually needs internal treatment or replacement. Aquaplate eliminates the problem by design: the Zincalume steel shell is bonded on the inside with a food-grade polymer film, AS/NZS 4020 certified for potable water. Water contacts polymer, not metal. 15-year warranty reflects the construction confidence.

Where this shape fits

Sprawling rural blocks with room alongside the shed. Heritage properties with fixed eave heights. Tree-change blocks where the owner wants the tank to sit quietly below the roof line rather than dominate it. Farmsteads where the wide base matches the barn’s proportions better than a tall silo would.

Fit-up included

500mm strainer basket inlet with stainless steel insect mesh, 90mm Rapid Seal overflow with removable screen, brass bibcock. Outlet configuration on request.

Payment Information

We accept VISA, Mastercard, Google and Apple Pay.

How long will it take to arrive?

Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk

Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?

No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.

Do I need council approval to install a water tank?

For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.

Can I pick the colour?

Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.

What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?

Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
