Double the 930L on the same 1240mm pad. The 1,850L stands 1550mm tall, roughly chest height. Good where floor space is tight and height isn’t. Hot-dip galvanised steel outside, food-grade liner inside, AS/NZS 4020 potable certified. This is the traditional silver farm tank scaled for a rural block where you need two-plus thousand litres without widening the concrete. It weathers in rather than fading. No paint to chip or touch up.

The silver tank, scaled for smaller sites
The 1,850L is the classic galv profile compressed onto a smaller pad. Tall enough to catch a real amount of roof runoff, narrow enough to fit in a side return or between house and fence. The unpainted finish weathers to the soft grey-silver that rural properties already have on sheds and gates, so the tank slots in visually from day one.
No paint to maintain
A Colorbond tank has a painted finish that eventually needs attention after decades of sun. A galv tank doesn’t. There’s no topcoat to fade, chalk, or chip. The galvanising itself is the finish, and it gets more character as it ages.
Food-grade lined for potable compliance
Internal polymer lining isolates the water from the zinc. AS/NZS 4020 certified. Same potable status as the Aquaplate range. The traditional-looking tank is not a traditional-water-quality tank.

1240mm diameter, 1550mm tall. Shares the 930L footprint and goes up for more capacity. For maximum capacity on the same 1240mm pad, the 2,850L stretches to 2310mm tall. Same slab, three different volumes depending on the height you have available.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
