12,500L Colorbond Water Tank

Made in Tasmania | 15 Year Warranty | Free Delivery!
Same 2600mm footprint as the 10,000L, 25% more water. The 12,500L adds 290mm of height and nets you an extra 2,500 litres without needing a larger pad or a different tank stand. Food-grade Aquaplate lining, AS/NZS 4020 potable compliant. Baked Colorbond shell in 22+ colours. The step up in height makes the colour choice matter more, which is exactly when Colorbond pulls ahead. Match the house and the jump from 10k to 12.5k becomes invisible to anyone looking at it.

The Orion 12,500 Litres Colorbond Water Tank combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of Colorbond colour. Constructed from genuine AQUAPLATE steel with a baked enamel interior for safe rainwater storage. Dimensions: 2600mm diameter x 2310mm height. Available in 9 Colorbond colours.

Stepped up, still colour-matched

Bigger tanks are harder to blend. The 12,500L is 290mm taller than the 10,000L without gaining any footprint, so the extra volume shows up as height. Colorbond is the trick to keeping that height from dominating. Pick a colour that matches the wall or roof behind it and the tank continues to sit where the 10,000L would have.

Aquaplate lining, AS/NZS 4020 certified

Potable-compliant lining inside. The colour coat is baked outside the shell. Same food-grade interior as the rest of the Aquaplate and Colorbond range.

Where this shape fits

2600mm across, 2310mm tall. Same slab as the 10,000L. Suits rural households wanting a higher-capacity buffer for drier months without committing to a wider base tank. If you need a still larger capacity on a bigger pad, the 20,000L runs 3400 x 2310 at the same height.

Fit-up included

Strainer basket, overflow, and brass bibcock all fitted. Custom outlets and extras at order on request.

Tasmanian-made. Delivered.

Built in Tasmania, free delivery to 90% of the state, 15-year prorated warranty.

Payment Information

We accept VISA, Mastercard, Google and Apple Pay.

How long will it take to arrive?

Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk

Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?

No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.

Do I need council approval to install a water tank?

For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.

Can I pick the colour?

Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.

What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?

Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
