14,000 litres, spread wide rather than tall. 3400mm across at 1550mm high. Roughly a chest-high tank with a wide base. Good for farm sheds, long paddock boundaries, and builds where the tank can have the width but not the vertical clearance. Food-grade Aquaplate lining, AS/NZS 4020 potable compliant. Baked Colorbond outer in 22+ colours. A wide shape colour-matched to a shed wall or boundary fence reads as part of the rural infrastructure, not a standalone cylinder dropped onto the slab.

The Orion 14,000 Litres Colorbond Water Tank combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of Colorbond colour. Constructed from genuine AQUAPLATE steel with a baked enamel interior for safe rainwater storage. Dimensions: 3400mm diameter x 1550mm height. Available in 9 Colorbond colours.
Colour-matched to a long backdrop
3400mm of width in one line is a lot of visual real estate. In raw Zincalume it reads as a grey belt across the block. In Colorbond matched to the shed it parks against, or the fence line behind it, the same width visually shortens. Wide tanks benefit from horizontal colour context, and this is where Colorbond earns its premium over plain steel.
Same food-grade lining as Aquaplate
The interior is the certified polymer lining used on every Aquaplate tank. AS/NZS 4020 potable certified. The Colorbond coat is external. No effect on water quality or lining performance.
Where this shape fits
3400mm diameter, 1550mm tall. Suits rural sheds, farm perimeters, and large-catchment roofs where the pad has room to spread out but height needs to stay under eave level. At the same 3400mm diameter, the 20,000L (2310mm tall) and 27,500L (3080mm tall) give you taller alternatives on the same footprint class.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
