The widest low-profile galv
At 3400mm across and 770mm high, this is the biggest rural tank you can park without going vertical. Silver corrugated steel stretched along a paddock edge or shed run visually extends the building line rather than intruding on it. There’s no colour to get wrong. The finish is what it is.
Zinc-bonded finish that handles knocks
Hot-dip galvanising bonds zinc to steel at a metallurgical level. A paddock tank occasionally gets nudged by a ride-on or brushed by stock, and galv handles that gracefully. Scratches don’t become rust points. The finish keeps doing its job even when the surface gets a bit lived-in.
Drinking-water safe inside
Internal polymer lining isolates the water from the zinc shell. AS/NZS 4020 certified for potable use. You can run this tank as primary household supply, not just stock or irrigation. Same water quality as the painted ranges.
Where this shape fits
3400mm diameter, 770mm tall. Farm sheds, paddock edges, long catchments off extended roofs. The low profile means views stay intact, fencing covers it, and nobody’s staring at a tall cylinder mid-paddock. Smaller low-profile galvs at 2600mm (4,000L) and 1680mm (1,700L) step down if the pad is tighter.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
