The biggest low-profile Colorbond we build. 3400mm across, 770mm tall. Nearly seven thousand litres at a height you can still see over. Suits blocks where vertical height is the constraint, a long paddock-side fence, a shed wall, a view line you don’t want blocked. Baked Colorbond outer in 22+ colours, food-grade Aquaplate lining inside, AS/NZS 4020 potable. On a shape this wide the colour choice is what stops it looking like industrial equipment parked on the slab.

The Orion 6,950 Litres Colorbond Water Tank combines the strength of steel with the aesthetics of Colorbond colour. Constructed from genuine AQUAPLATE steel with a baked enamel interior for safe rainwater storage. Dimensions: 3400mm diameter x 770mm height. Available in 9 Colorbond colours.
Widest Colorbond in the low-profile range
3400mm across at just 770mm tall is deliberate. The width buys capacity, the height stays low enough to keep a view, tuck under a pergola, or run along a fence without overshadowing it. Pick a Colorbond colour from the cladding palette already on the property and the tank stops being the subject of the photo.
Same food-grade interior as the Aquaplate line
Polymer lining inside, AS/NZS 4020 certified for potable water. The coloured exterior is coat-only. No difference internally between this and an equivalent-capacity Aquaplate.
Where this shape fits
3400mm diameter, 770mm tall. Good for rural blocks where the tank sits beside a long shed wall, or semi-rural builds where a full-height tank would block a view from the house. The 4,000L shares the 770mm height at a smaller 2600mm diameter for tighter runs.
Fit-up included
Strainer basket, overflow, and brass bibcock all fitted. Custom outlet plans and extra fittings are available on request at order, specified for the plumbing run.

How long will it take to arrive?
Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
Do you install the tank or sort the plumbing?
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
Do I need council approval to install a water tank?
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Can I pick the colour?
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
