Made in Tasmania | 15 Year Warranty | Free Delivery!
The smallest galv tank we stock. 1240mm across, 770mm tall. A compact version of the silver corrugated tank you’d see on any working Tasmanian farm, scaled for a carport, a side return, or a small shed catchment. Hot-dip galvanised steel outside weathers to a soft grey patina. Inside, a food-grade liner keeps the water AS/NZS 4020 potable-safe. You get the traditional rural look without giving up drinking-water compliance.

A galv tank is the opposite sell of a Colorbond. No paint, no fuss, no effort to pick a shade. The finish weathers naturally to a soft grey patina that belongs in paddocks, next to sheds, or against weatherboard. If the property already reads rural, galv reads as part of the kit list, not an addition to it.
Hot-dip galvanising bonds zinc directly to the steel. When something clips it (a ride-on, a trailer, a branch) the zinc reacts across the scratch and slows rust at the impact point rather than letting it spread. Galv is the tank for blocks where things occasionally hit things.
The outside looks like the farm tank your grandfather had. The inside is modern. An Aquaplate-style polymer liner keeps water off the metal, so there’s no metallic taste, no rust pitting, and the tank is AS/NZS 4020 potable certified for drinking water.
1240mm diameter, 770mm tall. The smallest galv footprint. Fits under a carport, beside a shed, or next to a small outbuilding where a larger tank would crowd the space. For the same footprint pushed taller, the 1,850L (1550mm) and 2,850L (2310mm) step up capacity without going wider.

Most tanks reach your block within two weeks of order. Every tank is made in Tasmania and delivered direct, so there’s no mainland freight wait. If you’ve got a critical date (plumber booked, build sign-off, certifier inspection), let us know at order time and we’ll flag any timing risk
No. We deliver to your block and unload. Connecting it to your downpipe, pump, and house plumbing is a job for your plumber. On a new build the plumber usually has the inlet, outlet, and overflow rough-in ready before the tank arrives.
For most rural and residential properties in Tasmania, a standalone rainwater tank doesn’t need council approval. Larger tanks, elevated tanks on stands, and tanks in heritage zones can have local rules, so a quick check with your council before you order is worth the five minutes. Fire fighting tanks tied to a building permit are usually approved as part of the build itself.
Yes. Most ranges come in 22+ Colorbond colours so you can match a roof, fascia, fence, or pick something that disappears into the bush. Use the colour picker on the product page. The live colour shows on the 3D tank view so you can see exactly how it’ll look before you check out.
Get in touch as soon as you can. If the tank hasn’t begun manufacturing, we may be able to change the tank colour or size. Unfortunately, once manufacturing starts (as all tanks are custom-made), we can’t accept returns.
